However in America, “K”  was not so successful, stalled at #200 in the Billboard charts. So that publish another worldwide album, It caused distrust in Kula Shaker, because the story could repeat one more time specially in U.S Bit.ly/KLs98 So the group decided to edit and leave it in a simple ep of six songss. With new name:”Summer Sun” ; a simple  work doesn't represent all of the band's British B-sides and rarities .

Even their cover of Deep Purple´s "Hush," their biggest U.K. hit is missing -- but it is a good sampling of their non-LP songs, even if these songs illustrate how predictable the band is. The standout cut is "Gokula," a trancy, Indian-influenced song based on Georhe Harrison´s "Skiing," which Harrison himself approved, but the roaring "Troubled Mind" and the acoustic "Dance in Your Shadow" also capture the band at their best. The remaining cuts are rather nondescript, but  "Summer sun" is worthwhile for any dedicated American fan who doesn't already own the British singles.

Released July 29 to coincide with Kula Shaker´s  appearance on the 1997 American summer festival H.O.R.D.E., Horizons of Rock Developing Everywhere . A Festival was a touring summer rock music festival originated by the musical group Blues Traveler in 1992. In addition to travelling headliners, the festival gave exposure to bands, charities, and organizations from the local area of the concert.

The original "Summet Sun" EP collects six tracks previously unreleased in the U.S:

1.Govinda '97, Hari & St. George.
2.Gokula.
3.Dance  In Your Shadow.
4.Raggy One (Waiting For Tomorrow).
5.Moonshine.

6.Troubled Mind.

Guns N´Roses: “More Lies” (A.K.A: “Lies II”) – “Aborted Album”.

Guns N´Roses: “More Lies” (A.K.A: “Lies II”) – “Aborted Album”.

On December 6, 1988, Guns'N'Roses published his second studio album "Lies"; a compilation Lp because on the side A, was reissued the EP of 1986: "Live?! * @ Like a Suicide", previously edited by the independent label UZI Suicide. While on the B side, some acoustic songs and discards appear from the "Appetite for Destruction" sessions.Ten years later and with the band already practically decomposed, Geffen Records programmed a second part of Lies: "More Lies" (a.k.a: Lies II ", following the same technique as the first one. Some of the material came from the EP "From the jungle" distributed only in Japan, along with the full content of the third EP "Civil War", March 1993.

In addition, to make it more attractive, were included two extra tracks played live: "Live and Let Die" at Wembley Stadium in London in 1991 and "Yesterdays" in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1992. In this reconstruction, another one is added: "Oh My God" from the soundtrack of the film: "End of Days".

"Lies II" or "More Lies", was scheduled to be published just 10 years after the first, in December 1998, with a view to that year's Christmas campaign, but the recent edition of the compilation "Use your illusion" in the United States; the internal problems that were between the original members of the band and the absence of a good live album, delayed its publication and finally was canceled by "Live Era'87 '93", which after a year of work ended up seeing the light in November 1999.

1.It´s So Easy. (Live).(3:45).
2.Whole Lotta Rosie.(Live).(4:22).
3.Knockin' On Heaven's Door.(Live).(4:36).
(Tracks 1,2 & 3 - Live at Marquee Club, London, England - June 28.1987)
4.Live And Let Die.(Live).(3:52).
(Live at Wembley Stadium, London, England - August 31.1991).
5.Shadow Of Your Love.(3:02).
Fake live recording (studio track with overdubbed crowd noises).
6.Sweet Child O´Mine.(5:54).
7.Civil War.(7:46).
8.Garden Of Eden.(2:39).
9.Death Horse.(4:17).
10.Yesterdays (live).(3:11).
(Live Iin Las Vegas, Nevada. January 25.1992)
11.Oh My God.(3:42).
12.Interview with Slash.(7:11).

The artwork of "More Lies" was in line with the first one, a cover that emulated being a tabloid with real news and messages loaded with certain sarcasm. The album was also to be a posthumous tribute to the porn actress Savannah, Slash's ex-girlfriend and who had recently shot herself to death after being disfigured after a traffic accident. This new reconstruction opens with Bit.ly/86gnrl2 the three live themes of the Marquee but with the correct sequencing, followed by two songs extracted from the cdsgl "Live and Let Die", the live version in Wembley and "Shadow of your love", altered studio recording to make it appear live. All this followed by the Lp version of "Sweet Child O'Mine",plus the full content of the EP "Civil War", in its international version; the song "Oh My God", that everybody believed was the return of Guns & Roses to the old ones and the interview to Slash.

Enjoy it!.

Genesis – “Duke”. (Reconstructed early version).

"Duke" was recorded in a difficult period, especially for Phil Collins, he was trying to salvage his first marriage, After his ended, Collins wrote a significant amount of material, some of which was used for "Duke" and some was laterused on  his first solo album, " Face Value". Also Tony Banks, on October 1979, made his solo album: "A Curious Feeling";  and Mike Rutherford did the same with: "Smallcreep's Day", on February 1980.

Duke was the tenth studio album by Genesis, released in March 1980. This album it´a great work of rock progressive with experimental pieces, of individually-written songs with a lot of feeling put that evolved from jam sessions.
It became Platinum album in both the UK and U.S., with hit singles  as "Turn It On Again", "Duchess", and "Misunderstanding".

On December 3, 1978 ended in Tokyo Japan the tour with which Genesis promoted their previous album: “And Then There Were Three”; moment in which the band took a deserved rest, because they had been ceaselessly either recording albums or playing concerts so that this was the first longer pause for the band, something that had come to pass personal bill, as was the case of Phil Collins with his wife.
In late 1979 They got together again at Polar studios in Stockholm, Sweden, to recording new songs for next album, with the producer David Hentschel ;in December the  new work was ready  to mixed and mastered in London at the beginning of the following year.

So in January, at Maison Rouge in London,  the album was  mixed and structured in two parts: On Side A, they were places the most personal songs, as: "Please don´t ask"  or ""Misunderstanding"", intended for "Face Value"; while in the other, side was a long musical piece called “The Duke Suite”. Bit.ly/80GEN3 divided into six parts, or six tunes united by one same argument.  This is the way the album was structured:

Side A: (21:18):

1.Missunderstanding.(3:24)
2.Heathaze.(5:00)
3.Alone Tonight.(3:57)
4.Cul.De-Sac(5:04).
5.Please Don´t Ask.(4:02)

Note: “Man Of Our Times” was temporarily outtake; as: “Open Door” & “Evidence O Autumn”.  Then included in the final lp and the other two songs as B sides of the singles: "Turn It On Again", "Duchess" and "Missunderstanding".

Side B: The Duke Suite - (Parts I to VI) -  (21:47) :

I.Behind The Lines.
II.Duchess.
III.Guide Vocal.
IV.Turn It On Again.
V.Duke´s Travel.
VI.Duke´s End.

Although, They liked this early version, The band thought that "Duke" could evolve more towards a conceptual album like "Tommy". But the problem was the material, it had was not much; and there was not enough time for new sessions. So they So that, they decided reworked over the master tapes and extended “The Duke Suit” to both sides using a new mixes, integrating the rest of the songs in it, trying to follow the same storyline.

At this point, "Duke" was a double album, because they used the rest of the material that had been rejected weeks ago. But for economic reasons, this option was forgotten and two of the songs "“Open Door” & “Evidence O Autumn” were finally removed from the final result,so that  this new version remained in one only disc. But they were wrong to compress it so much,it should have been left in two Lp, because the sound quality was not very good.

Finally, in March 1980 "Duke" was published; this album became to the top of the UK charts, and “Misunderstanding” turned out quite a successful single in the USA. But Phil could not to save his marriage. but he gave us another great album: "Face Value", published in February 1981.
For my taste, I prefer this early version from "Duke" What do you think about it?.
Enjoy it. See you soon with more.
